The story: The streaming player boxes below reflect a redesign I brainstormed and helped bring to life in collaboration with the retail design and product marketing teams.
The how: Every package decision was a result of many rounds of qualitative and quantitative research. When developing this redesign, our emphasis was making the step-ups more obvious and help shoppers make an easier decision at the shelf. In doing so, we condensed the copy on the back of box dramatically and used icons to communicate the features at a glance.
